Augusta, Maine—With a Salvation Army brass ensemble providing Christmas music, Maine Gov. John Baldacci helped kick off the kettle campaign season on Nov. 20th.

Last year, funds donated at kettles enabled The Salvation Army of Augusta to serve 847 individuals during the holidays and throughout the year. The Salvation Army assisted 56,450 individuals statewide.

“These services are possible only because of the generosity of this community,” says Captain Matthew Morrison, corps officer.
